With spectacular topography, scenic views and steep, wooded valleys, the Hawnby and Arden estate in the North York Moors has long been regarded as one of the finest pheasant shoots in the country and is regularly included in The Field magazines Top 50 shoots.

There is also fishing on the rivers Rye and Seph and productive grouse shooting on the higher moors, whilst Methley estate remains a refuge of wild English partridge.
